Sallyann Sheridan is an inspirational writer with
an enormous range of experience in the publishing and training world.
Her books have been published in the UK and internationally, including USA and India and her features and
short fiction have been published in a wide variety of publications including
that's life, Times Educational Supplement, Best, Here's
Health, Zest, Packaging Today and many more. Her debut novel, If Wishes Were Horses, was launched to
great reviews and nominated for a Guardian award. Her latest book Relax, is a dedicated E-book, and was released alongside Let Go, a deep relaxation audio programme.
As a freelance copywriter she won contracts with high profile companies
such as Benckiser (producers of Finish dishwasher products and Vanish)
and WH Smith. For the latter she wrote The Good Handwriting Guide, An Introduction to Calligraphy
and the Painting for Pleasure series to accompany
their products. Sallyann also founded a magazine which she sold two years
later with a readership of around 30,000. Sallyann has worked with publishers
critiquing manuscripts, writing book blurbs, titles and promotional material.
She is also a qualified stress management consultant and trainer. She also studied training
in the USA and led courses on writing at the University of Wales,
Writers Holiday, and throughout Europe. Many of Sallyann's writing students have
gone on to win competitions, be published, and
for some it becomes a career path.
When asked, her writing and coaching clients all speak of her 'indefinable energy...', 'a beauty of spirit...' and the fact that she 'couldn't fail to impact positively on their lives.' .
As an avid writer and reader, Sallyann is often found anywhere there is
an event around writing (or in Costa drinking lattes!) and as such has an opportunity to discuss writing
and publishing with agents, publishers and other writers. She also has a writing group named
Sallyann is a member of The Society
of Authors and has been interviewed on BBC and Regional Radio
about her books and work. Also Channel 4 TV interviewed her as someone who
has overcome adversity to follow her dream.
